The association started the first out of three cycles of training in the field of woodworking for 9 unemployed persons, as part of the project Woodworking for rapid economic development – ” Hurry up “. The activities are implemented within the grant scheme “Strengthening civil society to support the sustainable socio-economic development of Montenegro”, financed by the European Union, co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration, and implemented by Help and Juventas.
After the public call for the selection of the unemployed from the territory of the municipalities of Berane and Andrijevica, the Association of Woodworkers Berane selected nine people to participate in three training courses: Lamination training – work in a lamination mill; use of CNC machines in the woodworking process; painting/varnishing of elements.
The trainings have begun on September 9th, 2024 and will be organized for the next 6 months, in order to create conditions for the employment of the 3 most successful participants in the member companies of the Association of Woodworkers Berane.
The overall objective of the project Woodworking for rapid economic development “Hurry up” is to improve the conditions for socio-economic development in Berane by increasing the employability and social inclusion of less employable people.
The project aims to improve the living and working conditions of young people and women, as well as the necessity of creating new opportunities for the development of more favorable economic conditions, by connecting the existing supply and demand for labor in the field of woodworking
