The Ministry of Economy of Montenegro organized a workshop titled “Advantages of Clustering and Eco-Certification of Accommodation Facilities”, which was held in the multimedia hall of the Municipality of Tivat.
The aim of the event was to familiarize interested stakeholders with the concept of clusters, the key characteristics of cluster formation, as well as the national legal and institutional framework and opportunities for project development. Participants were also introduced to the processes and benefits of eco-certification of accommodation facilities at the local level.
The workshop was organized in partnership with the Municipality of Tivat, within the framework of the project “Enhancing the Competitiveness of the Montenegrin Economy”, jointly financed and implemented by the Ministry of Economy, the Capital City of Podgorica, the Old Royal Capital Cetinje, the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Montenegro.
As an example of successful cluster formation, the Wood Processing Association from Berane presented its experience, showcasing its journey from cluster formation to achieving stable and competitive business operations.
