Project “Together for Better Eco-Tourism in Andrijevica” Successfully Completed!

The informal group “For a More Beautiful Face of Andrijevica”, with the administrative support of the Association of Wood Processors, has successfully implemented the project “Together for Better Eco-Tourism in Andrijevica.”

The project aimed to improve sustainable eco-tourism in Andrijevica through the preservation of natural resources, empowerment of the local community, and promotion of responsible tourism.
Over a three-month period, five key activities were carried out, contributing to the creation of new tourist attractions and the strengthening of the local economy:

Arranged and marked the Rujišta eco-trail (4 km long), equipped with an information board and outdoor furniture;

Held two educational workshops on sustainable tourism and environmental protection;

Organized an ecological clean-up campaign involving 15 volunteers;

Launched a digital campaign to promote Andrijevica as an eco-destination;

Organized the first fair of local products and handicrafts, which gathered 15 exhibitors and revived the traditional July 13th celebration.

The project had a direct impact on 74 participants, including women, youth, girls, and boys, while indirectly raising awareness about the importance of ecology and sustainable tourism across the community.

The project’s campaign and activities were further promoted through social media, local media, and web portals, with the support of partners:
Scout Association “Milan Perović”, Tourism Organization of Andrijevica, and the Center for Culture and Sports “Mihailo Lalić.”

The project demonstrated that through the joint efforts of citizens, organizations, and institutions, Andrijevica can become a recognized eco-tourism destination that protects nature, promotes local products, and empowers the community.

 Photos and promotional posts from the activities can be viewed on the Facebook page “For a More Beautiful Face of Andrijevica.”
