“Overcoming unemployment among NEET youth – #fromNEETtoCOMPETE”

The Berane wood processing association is pleased to inform the public that the project “Overcoming unemployment among NEET youth – #fromNEETtoCOMPETE” has been approved, which is being implemented as part of the program to support civil society organizations in Montenegro.

The goal of the project is to improve the employability of young people who are not employed, not in education or in the training system (NEET category), through the development of practical and professional skills, as well as through direct connection with employers. The project will be implemented on the territory of the municipality of Berane for six months.

Through the project activities, at least 20 young people will have the opportunity to go through a training program that includes key competencies for the labor market – from creating a CV and preparing for an interview, to digital and communication skills. The special focus of the project is on gaining first work experience, so at least 5 participants will have the opportunity to do a paid professional internship with local employers in the field of wood processing, with the possibility of employment after completing the program.

The implementation of the project contributes not only to increasing the employability of young people, but also to strengthening cooperation between the local economy, institutions and the civil sector, thereby creating a sustainable model of support for young people in the employment process.
