Woodworking for environmental protection and strengthening of entrepreneurship

The objective of the project is to raise awareness of woodworking  as the environment protector   and  as an entrepreneurial resource.

The result of the project includes educating the population about the importance of woodworking as a carrier of entrepreneurship and protector of the environment.

The implemented activities included:

  • Creating a sectoral analysis in woodworking,
  • Workshops on the impact of woodworking on the local economy,
  • Workshops on the impact of woodworking on the environment,
  • Working meetings on adapting the workplace to the persons with disabilities,
  • Procurement of  safety and working equipment for cluster production process,
  • Preparation of promotional videos of woodworking and production process for each member of the cluster,
  • Preparation of pendants and souvenirs marked with project visuals.

Dissemination and promotion of results included various activities and campaigns carried out on social networks and websites of the Association.

The total value of the project was EUR 16,452.17. The project was financed by UNDP.

This project was implemented within the framework of the Regional Program of Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 (ReLOaD2), which is financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in partnership with 14 local governments in Montenegro, including Berane and Andrijevica, within the cluster “Together for the North”.
