25. June 2025, the international meeting of the “Econnecting” network of cities was held in Berane. The meeting was attended by representatives of partner cities from the European Union: the Union of Municipalities Romagna Faentina (Italy), the Regional Development Center Ormož (Slovenia), the Municipality of Nagykálló (Hungary), the Municipality of West Mani (Greece), the Municipality of Viseu (Portugal), the Municipality of Tori Valdavalitsus (Estonia), and the Municipality of Ennis (Ireland).

During the working visits, our cluster had the honor to present its activities and the potential of small wood processing businesses from Berane. This presentation was an opportunity to highlight the capacities of the local economy and entrepreneurial initiatives, as well as the importance of small producers in the economic development of our town.

The visit to the wood processing cluster is yet another confirmation of the strong cooperation between the Municipality of Berane and local partners, and a clear sign that there are people who recognize the value and role of small businesses in the local community.
