The Info day, organized on 25th January 2024.year, in the premisses of Regional Business Center RBC, was held within the project “Initiative of Local Employment Partnership- ILEP”. The Municipality of Berane in partnership with the Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komove and Prokletije implements the project. The project is implemented with the financial support of the EU through the IPA II annual action program for Montenegro for 2020, and is implemented in the period from 01/10/2023 to 30/09/2024.
This Info day was organized with the aim to inform participants and public of the two pubic calls, one for the selection of participants for the participation in the program of acquiring professional knowledge and skills in the field of woodworking – Carpenter for furniture, and the other for the selection of participants for the participation in the program of acquiring professional knowledge and skills for Tourism guide.
Within the project, the Berane wood processing association was appointed as the final beneficiary and implementation of project activities is set at the technical upgrade of the machinery which will enable the employment of new workers. In order to achieve project objectives and successful implementation of the project activities, the Municipality of Berane and the Association signed a memorandum of understanding on 10th November, 2023.year.
In this regard, the representative of the Association of Woodworkers Berane, Mladen Šćekić, spoke about the importance of this project for woodworking.
