“Wood Processing for Rapid Economic Development – Step Up” – From the Workshop to the Schoolyard

Through the implementation of the project “Wood Processing for Rapid Economic Development – Step Up”, we are actively working to create better conditions for the socio-economic development of the municipality of Berane.

The project is implemented by the NGO Association of Wood Processors Berane, within the grant scheme “Strengthening Civil Society for Supporting Sustainable Socio-Economic Development in Montenegro”, funded by the European Union, co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration, and implemented by Help and Juventas.

One of the final training activities included the production of garden furniture, allowing participants to apply the skills and knowledge they had gained in a practical way. As a result, members of the Wood Processors Association, Mladen Šćekić and Miloje Bakić, donated seven garden benches to the following primary schools:

“Vukašin Radunović” Elementary School,

“Radomir Mitrović” Elementary School in Berane, and

“Bajo Jojić” Elementary School in Andrijevica.

The benches were received by school representatives – Jelena Bandović, Branko Kastratović, Željko Golubović, and Aleksandar Vujović – who expressed great appreciation and satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in improving the school environment.

This donation not only provides tangible support to educational institutions, but also serves as a positive example of how vocational training can result in meaningful contributions to the local community. We hope to continue similar activities in the future, with the aim of further development and improving the quality of life in Berane and beyond.
